What happens when you buy it

  1. Find your size

It’s on your current tyre’s sidewall, like 225/45 R17 94W, and on the placard in the driver’s door jamb. The last part, 94W, is the load index and speed rating: the new tyre must match or beat the placard.

  2. Open the Advan Neova AD09 at Tyroola

You land on the Yokohama Advan Neova AD09 page. Enter your size or rego to see the price. If your size isn’t offered, this tyre isn’t made in it: go back and take the next tyre on your shortlist.

  3. Choose how many

Four if your car is all-wheel drive or all four are worn. Otherwise at least a pair on the same axle, and ask for the new pair on the rear, where grip matters most for stability.

  4. Pick fitting at checkout

Choose a partner fitter near you and a time, a mobile fitter who comes to your home or work, or delivery to your door. Compare the fitted total, not just the tyre price. Card, PayPal, Afterpay and Zip are accepted.

  5. Turn up on the day

The tyres are delivered to the fitter before your booking. Fitting and balancing four takes about an hour. Add a wheel alignment while the car is there: it stops the new tread wearing unevenly.

  6. Go easy for the first 200 km

New tyres carry a release coating from the mould and grip less until it wears off. Brake and corner gently at first, then check the pressures after a week against the placard.
