Supersport & track-day tyres
Road-legal race rubber. Brilliant when hot, treacherous when cold.
Race-derived compounds and construction with just enough tread to be road legal. They need heat to work, so they shine on track days and dry, warm roads, and they wear out in a few thousand kilometres. Many superbikes leave the factory on them.

Should I use track-day tyres on the road?
Only on warm, dry days, ridden with care until they're up to temperature. Supersport tyres are road legal and give huge grip once hot, but on a cold morning or in the rain they have far less grip than a sport-touring tyre. Most riders are safer and faster on the road with sport or sport-touring tyres.
