Max performance summer tyres
The benchmark for fast road cars. Huge grip, wet and dry.
What most sports cars leave the factory on. Softer compounds, stiffer construction and bigger contact patches hold on under serious power and braking loads, and the best of them are still excellent in the rain. They wear faster and dislike the cold.

Are max performance tyres worth it?
On a car above roughly 150 kW per tonne, yes: they are what the chassis was developed on, and they add real braking and cornering margin. On a slower car driven normally you pay in tread life and noise for grip you won't use; a UHP or grand touring tyre is the better buy.
